Focus on eating a diet high in protein, with an emphasis on oily fish, white meats rather than red, and nuts and seeds. Take it easy on dairy products, especially those high in fat. Begin by having a week off from drinking booze. You may feel so good that you decide to have a complete break for 3 months. Once you have adjusted to a no alcohol lifestyle you might extend it to 6 months or 12 months.
